The Northeast India AV Archive is digitising and archiving the VHS tapes on which the early episodes of PCN were recorded.

The memory crate project was furthered by The Northeast India AV Archive in collaboration with the Department of Tourism, Government of Meghalaya, as part of the ‘Meghalaya at 50’ celebration, commemorating the fiftieth year of the birth of Meghalaya as a state. The Northeast India AV Archive is always ecstatic over productive collaborations with other organisations who share our objectives. 2022 marked the fiftieth year of Meghalaya's existence and we had a joyous time working with and assisting the DIPR, Government of Meghalaya in the creation of the Memory Crate which was locked on Meghalaya's State Day, the 21st January, 2022, and which would be opened in another fifty years from that day; the Meghalaya wall and table calendars 2

Also an endeavour undertaken as part of the 'Road to 50', the exhibition held in Jowai displayed photographs taken of key figures in the Hill State Movement, and the landscape and people of the Khasi, Garo and Jaintia Hills during colonial times. There was also an impromptu quiz conducted by The Northeast India AV Archive for the brilliant school students of Jowai who paid a visit to the exhibition.

The Northeast India AV Archive scanned and catalogued over 3,700 photographs that the Department of Tourism, Government of Meghalaya owns. The process was bound to make access to the photographs easy and was the first step in our long collaboration with the Department of Tourism which continues to this day.
