The Sixth India-Japan Intellectual Conclave, 2026

In partnership with the Embassy of Japan in India and the Ministry of External Affairs, the Conclave, initiated in 2021, has successfully hosted five editions, featuring the attendance and participation of ministers, secretaries, and industry leaders.

The Sixth Edition of the Conclave was organised by the Asian Confluence in Vivanta, Shillong on 26th and 27th February, 2026, under the theme "Scaling Up Partnerships."


The Northeast India AV Archive, in collaboration with the Imphal Peace Museum, set up an exhibition for the Conclave. The Exhibition highlighted material from the respective collections that were related to the Japanese presence in South East and South Asia.


The exhibition also included photographs highlighting diverse scenes from the Northeast Region, specifically the tribes that live there.



The main exhibits showcase the soldiers that were stationed in Burma (Myanmar) during the Second World War and their life there. These exhibits mainly inlude photographs, newspapers, letters, postcards and paintings.
