The Directorate of Information and Public Relations, Government of Meghalaya proudly presents a short film – looking at the events that took place that led to the formation of the state of Meghalaya. As Meghalaya celebrates its 50th year of statehood, we remember the conviction of our forefathers who fought so that our voices maybe heard, our identities acknowledged and that we may exist freely, having control over our own future. Their fight was solemn, their victory indeed joyous.

Talley Valley Wildlife Sanctuary is a wildlife sanctuary in Arunachal Pradesh, India.
Arunachal Pradesh as a whole contains 40% of the floral and faunal species in India. The Ziro valley has a good share of this biodiversity. 30 kilometres from the town of Ziro is the sanctuary.
At the altitude of 2400 metres, Talley is a plateau with dense forest of silver fir trees, pine clad plateau of beautiful grandeur, and a vast wasteland. The area has some of the most important endangered species including the clouded leopard.

Stilwell Road convoy in Asia. Road from Ledo in Assam in British India to Kunming in Nationalist China. Supplies could be taken along the road. The first convoy of trucks is six miles long. Convoy arrived on 4th February 1945 and the head of the convoy Lieutenant General Lewis A. Pick was greeted by General J. L. Yuan. The convoy is greeted into the town.
