The Directorate of Information and Public Relations, Government of Meghalaya proudly presents a short film – looking at the events that took place that led to the formation of the state of Meghalaya. As Meghalaya celebrates its 50th year of statehood, we remember the conviction of our forefathers who fought so that our voices maybe heard, our identities acknowledged and that we may exist freely, having control over our own future. Their fight was solemn, their victory indeed joyous.
