Homeland | A documentary film on Immigrant Tribes of Tripura
Synopsis
This documentary film showcases the cultural and traditional preservation of four immigrant tribes of Tripura. These tribes from the northeast were escorted by the British 100 years ago to support them at the tea gardens. Been away from their roots over the years, a mixed form of culture has emerged among them. They have also developed a new form of language to communicate and survive. The documentary film was made for the Tribal Research and Cultural Institute (Government of Tripura), covering Santal, Bhil, Orang and Munda tribes.
