Aly Shadap

Aly Shadap is a veteran practising photographer and videographer from Shillong, Meghalaya. He has worked extensively with electron microscopy in the course of his career, to produce images for academicians. In our conversation with him, we discovered Aly Shadap’s fondness for the art of photography which in time developed into awe-inspiring passion. He often rode his scooter across Meghalaya and sometimes even reached Assam to photograph, both for his work and out of sheer love for the art. Today, much of his photographs have been collected and preserved by The Northeast India AV Archive.
